The other day, the topping-off ceremony of our house in Miyagi was held.

Thanks to the arrangement of the construction company, we were able to have a small but tasteful moment.

I don't know if it's because we are in the Tohoku region, or because we are in Miyagi, but following the ground-breaking ceremony, I feel grateful for the customs that remind us of things we tend to forget.

The weather started out as a light rain, but by the time the ceremony started, the sun was shining, which was very nice.

It's been a long time since I've felt the crisp winter air, and I can feel the winter in Tohoku.

Maybe it's because I come here once in a while that I feel it more strongly.

In the series of events that lead to the construction of a building, I really like the time when the building is completed.

I can honestly say that I am glad to have designed the building, because the tension of being a party to the project and the delicate light peculiar to the site are mixed together.

The building is for someone who spends time there, and especially in the case of a house, it is a vessel for the client's future daily life.

I'm grateful for the opportunity, and I'm determined to move forward with this project.

It was the first time I saw a flock of geese flying overhead. It's the end of the year.
